Here is a little update on the Xbox 360 patch.
Push to talk is available for squad leaders. To activate, hold the “left directional button” (Left D-Pad) and speak. You will be heard by all other squad leaders on your team. Proximity chat is available if you are in close range of other players. Simply speak into your headset when near another player. Inter-vehicle chat is available if you are in a vehicle with other players, simply speak into your headset and everyone in the vehicle will hear you. You can now set up to 50 players minimum when searching for games in Custom Match. If you set the minimum to 17 or above, you will only see Kaos dedicated servers. Additional 50 player servers with a variety of maps will be available by this weekend - yes, Solar Farm and Oil Field with 50 players!
This should make Squad play alot better. |

| Update on the DLC Mini-FAQ | |
| Posted by: RogueDOC @ 12-06-08 14:59:04 | [Source] |

Mitch has posted an update reguarding the upcoming downloadable content (DLC). A lot of people have questions about our upcoming downloadable content (DLC) releases for Xbox 360 and PC so I've put together this mini-FAQ and will update it as I have more information. Stay tuned. 1. Will there be a charge for all or part of the DLC? (both platforms) Updated! DLC will be free for PC but will be released soon after the Xbox 360 version. DLC on the Xbox will be released as follows:
Patches. 3. Is there a release schedule for all or part of the DLC? TBA. 4. Is there a release date for PC patch 1.2.0? TBA. 5. Will there be additional patches beyond 1.2.0/Title Update 2? Updated! On the Xbox 360, Title Update 3 is already in development and is planned to release around the same time as Conquer mode (DLC 2) and we will release more details on this update in the next week or two. Patch 1.2.0 for PC is already in development and one of the DLC maps will be included, as well as other features. We will also release more information on this patch in the next week or two. We are also preparing a "road map" that will outline plans for future patches and title updates. 6. Will weapons/vehicles be map specific or can they be enabled in other maps? Currently, map specific. 7. Will there be public betas of patches/DLC? No, we have a private group of beta testers we use to test patches and DLC. 8. Will SP get any additional content? No. Note: Some of these items are marked "TBA" as a final decision has not been made and I don't want to put something down unless it is completely accurate. Once I have more information I will update. __________________

| Frontlines: Fuel of War to receive additional multiplayer game mode. | |

Kaos Studios and THQ are pleased to announce the upcoming release of a bonus game mode for their exciting multiplayer shooter. The added mode, named Conquer, allows players to capture objectives in any order, anywhere on the map. The mode is reminiscent of an old fan favorite in previous shooters such as Rainbow Six, Star Wars Battlefront, and Conquest in the Battlefield series; though the Frontlines version will have a few of its own tweaks. Kaos Design Director, David Votypka states: “We’re excited to bring another avenue of gameplay to Frontlines fans. With our original flagship game mode (frontlines), we were very pleased with the type of action and teamwork it created, and the fan reception to it. By adding an additional free mode for fans to play, our goal is to extend the enjoyment and gameplay time players can get from the product. We’re working hard to show continued support and dedication to our products and the community.” This mode will be a free download for PC and Xbox 360’s Marketplace, and will be active in all of the original multiplayer maps that shipped with the game. In addition, all new downloadable content maps for the game will also feature the bonus Conquer mode gameplay. An exact release date is not yet final, but Kaos is currently aiming for late June to early July. |
