Kotaku Fronlines: Fuel of War Review
Posted by: RogueDOC  @  25-01-08 14:34:49 [Source]
Kotaku takes us inside the Frontlines: Fuel of War Xbox 360 Multiplayer.

During the course of the afternoon we played a variety of maps, with "Streets", "Gnaw" and "Solar Farm" being the most memorable. Streets was an intimate map, set in the ruins of a nameless city, while Solar Farm was a massive, sprawling desert with helicopters, tanks and anti-air trucks.

If you've played any of the Battlefield games, then the basic concepts of Frontlines will sound familiar. This is not surprising seeing as developer Kaos Studios was behind the excellent Battlefield 1942 mod Desert Combat.

Frontlines 2 is in development
Posted by: Stewie  @  24-01-08 15:21:19

In various interviews, head of Kaos, Frank Delise, hints on the development of Frontlines 2:

DeLise also adds that Frontlines: Fuel of War already has a sequel in the works because a lot of what they planned for the game wasn't able to make it into the final product. He says that in the sequels, you'll be able to see the story from the other side of the war.

It's good news for all Frontlines fans. A sequel usually means more time and effort is put into the game to keep the fanbase intact and satisfied and indicates a long term strategy for the game and it's sequels.

Gamespy Previews Frontlines: Fuel of War
Posted by: RogueDOC  @  18-01-08 23:35:25 [Source]

Gamespy has posted a preview of the Xbox 360 version of Frountlines: Fuel of War. They talk about the different roles you can play in game.

We recently had the opportunity to jump into a live multiplayer match with a host of merciless THQ testers who gleefully showed us all the weaponry you could bring to bear, though we often only caught a glimpse of the destruction before each respawn. Each player makes a trio of choices before hopping into combat, and these choices will end up defining their role on the frontlines.
